Economic and Environmental Impacts of Changes in Support Measures for the English Uplands - an in depth forward look from the Farmers' perspective

In October 2009, the CCRI secured a Defra project to study the ‘economic and environmental impacts of changes in support measures for the English Upland’. The project is led by Peter Gaskell, with a research team from across the CCRI and the RAC. Worth over £65,000 the project will provide Defra with a farmer’s perspective on the changes currently taking place in the Uplands of England and thereby improve Defra’s understanding of how upland farming will be affected by recent policy changes
