PhD in Local food supply networks in England and Wales
Jane Ricketts Hein was appointed a Visiting Fellow in the CCRI in February 2015.
Jane studied at undergraduate and post-graduate levels in the Geography Department at Coventry University, under the influence of former CCRI Professor, Brian Ilbery. She subsequently worked on a number of research projects in Worcester, Coventry and Birmingham, before embarking on a year’s teaching in University College Cork. Both research and teaching were largely rural-related, including agri-food networks, particularly ‘alternative’ ones, faith communities, rural development and an evaluation of ‘walking interviews’.
In 2014 Jane set up Cynidr Consulting, which aims to provide ‘accessible rural research’, particularly in mid-Wales and the borders.
