The Countryside and Community Research Institute (CCRI), based at the University of Gloucestershire, is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant (Student Placement) to support the research output of the Institute.
The CCRI is the largest specialist rural research centre in the UK and currently employs more than 20 researchers who work on a diverse range of social science research and consultancy projects relating to the rural environment and agricultural policy; rural community and services; rural economic development; food; recreation; and access issues.
The successful applicant will be expected to become a fully functional team-member and to make a genuine contribution to the output of the Institute during their placement.
Desirable qualities of the Placement Student:
- Good level of computer competency, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and own initiative
- Strong interest in environmental and rural issues
- Experience of using social media for marketing / networking
