In November 2017, Senior Research Fellow, Dan Keech, participated in the annual meeting of the German Cultural Landscapes Association, where he talked on local distinctiveness, tourism and changing cultural relations with landscapes.

The German rural development association (Deutsche Landeskulturgesellschaft) is a scientifically-oriented, multi-discplinary network of over 200 institutional members drawn from academia and practice.
