George Cusworth started his PhD in April 2016. Jane Mills is his first supervisor and Peter Gaskell is his second supervisor.

George is studying for his PhD on a full-time basis over 3 years and is part-funded by Natural England and University of Gloucestershire.

The working title of his thesis is ‘Assessing the long-term impacts of (Entry Level Stewardship) ELS. What can a Bourdieusian analysis teach us about the development of environmental attitudes within the agricultural community, and how has the ELS tier of the Environmental Stewardship scheme affected the land management plans of participating farmers?’
