Aimee’s research interests include the social and environmental impacts of collaborative working in rural communities and factors that influence individuals’ relationships with their local environment.

Biography

Aimee’s doctoral research focused on the social dynamics of farmer and land manager groups in England and Wales. She has a particular interest in the social and environmental impacts of collaborative working in rural communities.

Aimee is currently working on the Horizon Europe RUSTIK project, which aims to better understand the key functions rural areas have, and how diverse rural communities can strategically navigate contemporary socio-economic and demographic, environmental, and digital transitions.

Specifically, she is exploring innovative approaches to societal transformation in Monmouthshire. She also supports the National Innovation Centre for Rural Enterprise’s work in the South West, working with rural businesses and communities to deliver and evaluate innovation projects, particularly those relating to climate action.
