IASC European Conference 2014 – Presentations

Senior Research Fellow John Powell has travelled to Umeå in northern Sweden with Kate Ashbrook from the Open Spaces Society to attend the IASC European Conference.

The full conference programme can be viewed here and John has had the honour/pressure of presenting on two occasions!

Firstly, as part of the pre-conference workshop, John informed delegates of the 2006 Commons Act – legislation which seconded John away from CCRI for a time. The Act enabled creation of ‘Commons Councils’ – and John’s presentation discusses issues surrounding this. His presentation can be viewed on the CCRI Slideshare page.

Secondly, John presented as part of the ‘Governance Networks’ session on issues that he and his colleague Chris Short have been, and continue to work on related to stakeholder management within river catchments. Again this presentation can be viewed on the CCRI Slideshare page.

The CCRI makes as many presentations available as possible as part of a commitment to dissemination of information. Topics include food, farming, land use, community engagement and many others. All of these are available on our CCRI Slideshare page, and are from staff, students and guests of the CCRI.
