Julie Ingram is giving a keynote paper at the 5th Belgian Agroecology Meeting (BAM) in Ghent, Belguim, on Tuesday 20th September.

The meeting, which is co-organised by Agricultural and Fisheries Research (ILVO) and Ghent University, is entitled ”Bridging gaps between principles and practices in agroecology”.

Agroecology is expected to play an important role in improving sustainability of agricultural systems in the future and the purpose of this 5th BAM meeting is to bridge the gaps between principles and practices in agroecology, between subsystems of the agroecosystem, and especially to bring together research and knowledge on agroecology in Belgium.

Julie’s paper is titled  “The challenges and opportunities of ‘doing’ co-innovation to enhance translation processes” and draws on work that she and a CCRI team has been undertaking for an EU funded project called  VALERIE.
