CCRI Forest School Research

CCRI researchers Demelza Jones and Alice Goodenough have launched a new project: Exploring Impacts of Socio-Economic Context on Forest School and Outdoor Learning Provision in Gloucestershire Primary Schools. Working with Clare Harris, Senior Lecturer in Primary Education at the University of Gloucestershire, the project examines if known inequalities in access to nature are challenged or reproduced in school settings.

The first phase of the project gathered local Forest School and Outdoor Learning practitioners for a scoping workshop (held at the university’s very own Forest School base camp!), and subsequent work will be taking place with local schools. If you are interested in finding out more about the project, please contact Demelza Jones.

You can find more about previous research conducted by Demelza and Alice on the University of Gloucestershire’s Research Repository.
