New infographic on farmer-centred innovation – adapting evaluation approaches

Farmer-centred innovation (FCI) approaches promote crucial outcomes, such as empowerment and capacity building, which conventional evaluation approaches struggle to deal with.  A workshop session “Evaluating farmer-centred innovation: methodologies and evidence to capture multiple outcomes” was held at the 24th European Seminar on Extension and Education in Sicily (2019) to discuss how different objectives, methods and priorities can be integrated to capture the effectiveness and outcomes of FCI initiatives. This was hosted by Julie Ingram, Simona Cristiano, Guy Faure, Pierre Labarthe, Beth Dooley & Lisa van Dijk.

The outcomes are summarised in the infographic which can be downloaded below.
