Chris Short has been invited to attend a facilitated workshop to discuss arising opportunities for renewable technological development.
The workshop is being held on Friday, 16 October at the former laboratories of British Nuclear Fuels Limited which is being transformed into Gloucestershire Science and Technology Park, Berkeley Green by South Gloucestershire and Stroud College. Attending the event will be the local MP for Stroud, Neil Carmichael.
This renewable energy event is being jointly hosted by the University of Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire and Stroud Colleges. The event aims to help shape our thinking and identify clearly what is being demanded by industry.
The site at Berkeley extends to 111 acres. As well as accommodating the head offices of Magnox Limited and laboratories of Cavendish Nuclear it will be welcoming the Gloucestershire Renewable Energy Engineering and Nuclear Skills Centre, SGS Berkeley Green University Technical College, Gloucestershire Cyber Security Centre, The Advanced Renewable Energy Research Centre and an exemplar solar PV installation being supported by the Cabinet Office. These and many other compatible and complementary industries will be operating from Berkeley from September 2016 onward.
